Time
Years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds are some of the ways to measure time. But everyone is different, and therefore we experience time differently. Sometimes one hour can pass by fast, other times it can feel like an eternity.
During the pandemic Covid-19, the Norwegian population got to feel the concept of time. We have been in lockdown, safe in our homes, but with not much freedom to do what we want. Restaurants and cafes have been closed, we can’t visit our loved ones, and we are asked to stay six feet apart at all times. This has led us to find other ways to entertain ourselves and to make time pass by.
What have made time pass faster for people during this period of isolation? In this project I’ve asked people what kind of different objects and things have helped them pass time in this state of emergency.
